Our steak restaurant on College Green

34 College Green, Dublin 2, D02 C850

Our steak restaurant hasn’t been here long, but the building has. First conceived as the grand HQ of Ireland’s National Bank, today it makes a special place for our steak and seafood on College Green. The decorative 40-foot cast-iron dome above our main dining room certainly sets a stately tone; our elegant bar and private dining rooms, too.

We’re easy to find, just next to Parliament Square and Trinity College, and a short walk away from Temple Bar and Dublin Castle. Take a stroll through College Park and you’ll soon land on the National Gallery of Ireland. We really couldn’t be in a more fortunate spot and we look forward to welcoming you in soon.

Sunday Roast, Upgraded

You asked for new cuts on the Sunday Roast. We happily obliged. Swap your rump for a thick, slow-roasted sirloin, cooked low and slow, rested properly, and carved to sit proudly alongside the trimmings you know and love.

And we heard the call for proper veggie options, not the polite alternative, the real deal. Sundays are now complete with our Ballylisk Wellington roast, wrapped in golden pastry and served with roast potatoes (without beef dripping, of course), seasonal veg, slow-roasted garlic, light and fluffy yorkies and onion gravy.

New Desserts This Spring

available now

Spring months call for four new seasonal desserts, and what a line-up our Queen of Puddings, Carla, has created: a twist on the classic Bakewell tart, a long-overdue Banoffee pudding, an iconic Rhubarb and Custard duo, and a chocolate Mille Feuille that refuses to behave.

You could share. But we wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t.

Steak After Eight

introducing our new late night set menu

Steak After Eight is Hawksmoor after dark — where the lights dip, the martinis are cold and the night is just getting started. From 8pm every night, enjoy a generous three-course set menu built for lingering: indulgent starters, a Chateaubriand to share with classic sides and a proper pudding to finish, plus a cocktail and wine to seal the deal. All for €75 per person.

Perfect for dates, late dinners and evenings that refuse to end early.

Sunday Roast on College Green

Available from 12pm-5pm every Sunday

Sunday roasts at Hawksmoor aren’t just a meal – they’re a full-on feast and a beloved tradition among regulars who bring their nearest and dearest to settle into the buzz. Fair warning: this is not a nibble and dash. Think hearty, comfort-heavy plates, especially if you’re tempted by the sides. The cauliflower cheese is a crowd favourite – you’ll see why.

Now, for those looking to really dive in, there’s our Sunday feasting option. The regular dry-aged rump swaps out for a kingly sharing steak – handpicked by you from the blackboard and cooked the way you like it. Then we pile on the trimmings: beef-dripping roasties, towering Yorkshire puds, carrots, greens, roasted garlic, and a tidal wave of bone marrow & onion gravy. So, if you’re looking for Sunday lunch in Dublin, it’s best to book ahead, though – we fill up fast.

Events & private dining in Dublin

Looking for an event space or private dining room? We’ve got a few and they come with the same Hawksmoor-coded interiors, service and menu. For the latter, we tend to suggest our family-style sharing menu, which offers your gang a selection of our most popular cuts to devour along with many of the Hawksmoor classics. Extra-large Sticky Toffee Pud, anyone?

Our two private dining rooms are delightful places for a special occasion, one seating 18; the other 14. Low lighting, dark-leather and high-gloss panelling set a members club tone and the quality of the service will make you feel like you’re a regular. Exclusive-use whole-venue bookings are on the cards, too. Check our brochure for all the details.

BYO Mondays

BYO Monday Wine Club

every monday, all day – 5 corkage

Mondays at Hawksmoor College Green mean one thing: bring your own wine. We like to think of it as a club – open to everyone and bringing a particularly lively vibe to the restaurant. The rules? Simple: bring any bottle you fancy (even that magnum of something special), and corkage is just a fiver.

The offer runs all day, and paired with our set menu, it’s one of the best Hawksmoor deals going. So dust off that bottle you’ve been saving, or pop by the local wine shop on your way, and we’ll handle the rest. Sláinte!

Rare Breeds at Hawksmoor

We’ve partnered with the Rare Breeds Survival Trust (RBST) to launch a UK-first programme championing rare and native breed farmers and the incredible beef they produce.

By investing in these breeds, we’re helping to protect them. Supporting the farmers, the countryside, and a way of farming we’re deeply proud to stand behind.

Look out for our rare and native breed steaks on our blackboards – every weekend in our restaurant.

What makes our food so good?

Our food’s good because the ingredients are good. Expect beef from small Irish community farmers, dry-aged for 35 days and simply grilled over charcoal, sustainable seafood from around the isle, seasonal fruits and vegetables or cheeses from some of our favourite cheesemakers in the nation.
